What are Literacy Academies?

Academy is a collaboratively planned and instructed Tier 1 foundational skills block that addresses the language and literacy needs of all students.

The goals are:

  • prevention for all

  • identifying what support each student needs based on data

  • intentional design and redesign of services and supports matched to needs of students

  • mixing students across grade level for differentiated and individualized instruction
